Spring Wall Art  “Gray Day on Ocean Drive

Gray Day on Ocean Drive” from George Delany Art

This is a foreboding photo— dark skies, no people, no signs of life save one lone Sea Gull. And yet, on the day this photo was taken, the weather was warm and inviting. The water was warm…and inviting. I had just been in for a swim. This view of Ocean Drive, Newport, Rhode Island…the vast, dark sky against the impenetrable nature of endless rock, punctuated by a single Gull, amidst pools and ponds, a captivating scene.

Gray Day on Ocean Drive,“…Hangs in Living Room

Ocean Drive, Newport, Rhode Island— was at this moment, tranquil, humid, still, and not at all uninviting. Nevertheless, the forlorn seascape grabbed my attention, the single Gull, the view of homes-out-of-reach, off in the distance, the scale of the sky, the sliver of population in the middle, the grand presence of rocks and puddles in the foreground…I found appealing. Lesson: What you see is not always indicative of what is going on…we know this, right?

Check out other photo prints from my George Delany Art collection…these will be growing in number as the spring and summer unfolds.

After eight or so weeks of hunkered down, at home for many hours out of every twenty four, I am eager to get out, get about, get back to a familiar routine. The whole country seems itchy to get back to something, despite the propensity of certain Governors to keep their States locked up for another month or more. Not wild about being locked up, even in this very serious circumstance. But we do want to “be safe.” If you’ve read about the Pandemic of 1918, you have a sense that the “second wave is out there.” While we’re bridging this period into whatever it is that shall come next, you are invited to take this opportunity to explore all sections of George Delany Art, prints of various visual themes: InstagramsPhotosDrawingsPaintings and Americana Posters

If you’re just joining me, this may be a surprise…try two neat features on George Delany Art: The first– WALL Review, a capability that visualizes your art selection in your specifications as seen in different settings; living room, bedroom, sitting room, conference room, these sorts of things, as referenced, above. Secondly, the L I V E Augmented Reality feature that allows you to see your chosen art work on YOUR wall…in your setting. Pretty exciting stuff. This is my “business advice,” for the week. < wink >
