Spring Art Print “New York“
Painted about two years before the tragedy that was 9.11.01, this watercolor, “New York,” is still vibrant and powerful and among my favorites. Late afternoon light bathes the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center amidst a wistful sky of purple clouds wafting by , framing up the scene over large stencil letters reversed out of the Hudson River, spelling out the name of the work, “New York.” The image generated a series of such iconic city-skyline images (here is “LA“), most of which remain incomplete, but are “coming along.” This print is now available from the original water color work, am pleased to report.

Below you see the image hanging not in a living or sitting room, but in a bedroom. I remember well the painting of this image in watercolor on a large sheet of watercolor paper…when you introduce a pencil and a pencil mark to a blank sheet of paper, let me assure you, you have no idea what will transpire. In this case, the experience was uplifting, to say the least. You can see other such images in my Americana Collection.

For owners of businesses large or small, and for those who run and manage non-profit organizations, if you would like to make available to staff and employees, even customers, any print in my Americana Collection, I will gladly add your company logo at a discreet size in the lower right hand corner and have these posters shipped to your organization. Question for you: Have you ever purchased a graphic print? Maybe right now, this Spring, instead of just another commercial gadget, you might consider a different kind of gift, an art print. These are all done using high-quality materials– pigments, papers and framing materials. I invite you to visit this site often, as the year unfolds. Buy a print every now and again, one that moves you. I will make every effort to complete your order in a timely manner, despite lingering COVID-related production concerns. In a post-pandemic period, what better way to celebrate than…with a summer art print…perhaps even a gift to a friend or relative.
Two unusual and decidedly helpful features on my art site: The first– WALL Preview, a capability that visualizes your art selection in your specifications as seen in different settings; living room, bedroom, sitting room, conference room, these sorts of things, as referenced, above.
Secondly, the Live Augmented Reality feature that allows you to see your chosen art work on YOUR wall…in your setting. Pretty exciting stuff.
Check out several categories of original art and prints on my site; Instagram pix, photos, paintings, illustrations, limited editions, original painted works and Americana posters.
My “business advice,” for the day: Summer is upon us…finally! What a 16-18 month period this has been. Isn’t it wonderful to smell hamburgers in the air, see people at the beach, chowder on the menu, evening parties underway, people just so seemingly excited about the day. I am happy to report honey-bees in area are on a roll; we will have lots of spring honey, this year. “Carpe Diem,” is something of a cliche, but these days the expression has a certain power and resonance to it. I’m going with it! Carpe Diem, to you, too. On Flag Day, 2021, “Pluck the Day!”
