Summer Art Print, “Ocean Drive #3”
Have you ever driven Ocean Drive, in Newport, Rhode Island? Always a treat…but when weather is moving…a special way to witness the earth, water and sky up-close, and personal. I love this stretch of ocean front. Here is a print for your August print collection based on a small study, acrylic on board, only 7″ x 5″ original, but among the moodiest of my Newport images. Isn’t this a particularly striking print?
A cruise along Ocean Drive will reveal fishing boats, fishermen, picnickers out on rocks, loungers in summer chairs, kite-flyers, surfers…I have tried to offer a taste of it, the essential Ocean Drive experience in this offering. Below, see this image as it hangs in a sitting room. Perhaps like yours? Remember, please hang these prints in diminished light– never in direct sun or bright light. This will ensure a longer print life.
For owners of businesses large or small, and for those who run and manage non-profit organizations, if you would like to make available to staff and employees, even customers, any print in my Americana Collection, I will gladly add your company logo at a discreet size in the lower right hand corner and have these posters shipped to your organization. Question for you: Have you ever purchased a graphic print? Maybe right now, this summer, instead of just another commercial gadget, you might consider a different kind of gift, an art print. These are all produced using high-quality materials– pigments, papers and framing materials. I invite you to visit often, as the year moves toward the fall season. Buy a print every now and again, one that moves you. In a post-pandemic period, what better way to celebrate than…with a summer art print…perhaps even a gift to a friend or relative.
Two unusual and decidedly helpful features on my art site: The first– WALL Preview, a capability that visualizes your art selection in your specifications as seen in different settings; living room, bedroom, sitting room, conference room, these sorts of things, as referenced, above.
Secondly, the Live Augmented Reality feature that allows you to see your chosen art work on YOUR wall…in your setting. Pretty exciting stuff.
“Business Advice” for day: Yesterday….May; today, August, can it be? A good reminder as to how fast time flies. Time to take note. I am behind in many of those things I want to get done…this summer. Time to pay a bit more attention. Time to get a bit more efficient. Time to check my priorities. Time to tick-off those tasks still ahead of me. Then, I can sit down with one of those lovely summer mint drinks, put up my feet, and relax. Here’s to a happy and productive August, 2021.
