Summer Art Print “My Morning Glory“
Why does it seem we wait so long for the gorgeous Morning Glory? We wait most of the summer for its glorious appearance….and when it shows up, we are not disappointed, are we? Here is just one sample. Here, I am lucky– there are violet, blue, white Morning Glories around and about. They signal…summer is well along. I take the cue. Which cues do you take?
Below is another image of summer, of Corn, one of my very favorites– took me several years to complete. Honestly, I could go into the painting today and fiddle with it some more. The work has come so far from the moment when that first dab of oil paint was applied to a large, white, blank, canvas (60″ x 40″) original. The original is available, as are limited edition prints at 24″ x 18″, each one signed by the artist. Corn is among the forms on this earth I regard as sacred– and so here is my homage to it.

“Business Advice” for day: As August settles in, crops arrive, corn is sweet and fresh, salads are the best, gardens are rich and that new Peach pie is unbeatable. Is there a side to your business life in which everything comes together? Everything you strive for…at some perhaps unplannable moment, comes into being? I hope so. The ocean is warm and inviting, the grass is green, freshly cut. Lettuce and tomatoes, with a little salt, pepper and mayonnaise, haven’t tasted this good in about a year. Yes, things have in a turbulent time, after days of rain, come together. August, so beautiful! That our business life should be so bountiful!
