Summer Art Print “Sailor Off Newport“
One of my favorite small acrylic studies on masonite, from an original only 7″ x 5″…this one captures the expansive view across the ocean just off the Newport/Jamestown Rhode Island Coast. Sailor-Off-Newport expresses a wide-open summer day when the wind is up, the sails are out, the boats move vigorously across the water against a backdrop that includes both water and sky.
Below you see the same image, “Sailor Off Newport,” against a darkly colored wall in a business environment. The colors in the work come off brilliantly against the deep gray wall and stark office setting. Note the warm Cherry wood frame and wide, 3″ matte, both of which add power to the presence of the printed image. You can customize your frame and matte in exactly this fashion right on my site– note the unusual array of materials; printing, plastic, aluminum, canvas, along with mattes, frame and installation hardware. If you take your time, get your order just right, your print will arrive very much “buttoned up,” and ready to hang.
For owners of businesses large or small, and for those who run and manage non-profit organizations, if you would like to make available to staff and employees, even customers, any print in my Americana Collection, I will gladly add your company logo at a discreet size in the lower right hand corner and have these posters shipped to your organization. Question for you: Have you ever purchased a graphic print? Maybe right now, this summer, instead of just another commercial gadget, you might consider a different kind of gift, an art print. These are all produced using high-quality materials– pigments, papers and framing materials. I invite you to visit often, as the year moves toward the fall season. Buy a print every now and again, one that moves you. In a post-pandemic period, what better way to celebrate than…with a summer art print…perhaps even a gift to a friend or relative.
Two unusual and decidedly helpful features on my art site: The first– WALL Preview, a capability that visualizes your art selection in your specifications as seen in different settings; living room, bedroom, sitting room, conference room, these sorts of things, as referenced, above.
Secondly, the Live Augmented Reality feature that allows you to see your chosen art work on YOUR wall…in your setting. Pretty exciting stuff.
“Business Advice” for day: Can it be that Labor Day is in sight, already? Yes it can. Amidst the frantic pace of modern life, and on this day with the horror of our defeat in Afghanistan, perhaps it is helpful to convey a bit of wisdom offered by a friend, just lately. He advised, “Keep your peace, George. Keep your peace.” I still think about this little jewel each day. In the hubbub of small victories and sometimes tremendous setbacks each of us is up against day by day, isn’t it a good idea whether in business or personal life to try to find…and then keep, one’s personal peace. I would spell that with a capital P, Peace.
Happy Mid-August, and thanks for your interest in my work.
