Fall Wall Art “John 4:24 Verse for Times“
In tumultuous times, perhaps a graphic expression of what many consider to be among our culture’s many valuable and underpinning ideas is in order: John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth.” I find it useful to return to thoughts and expressions of this sort at a moment when for some, every aspect of our underlying society is ripe for ridicule, criticism and rejection. I will continue to stand with our underlying society’s understandings and ideals, and not against.
Let me put this another way. I will make every effort to ignore and refute daily the odious and infamous Cancel Culture and its cousin-attacks on the foundations of American Society. Consequently, here you see this image in the context of a living room, where the cool dark, gray-blue wall color highlights the colors in the print itself cast against an ample, white field.
Below, you see the same typographic image expressed in a style that highlights select colors of the text in warm and cool colors, one of which is used in the wall color, around the print, itself. This image and those designed in the same style are unusual, not, generally speaking, popular. People find the unique graphic nature of prints in this family, inspiring. They make great gifts. I am grateful for your interest in this work.
Question for you: Have you ever purchased a graphic print? Maybe right now, this fall, instead of just another commercial gadget, you might consider a different kind of gift, an art print. Remember, too, the gift-giving season is just ahead. Slowdowns are expected this year. Product availability is difficult. Off-shore container ships are backed up for weeks. So perhaps it is a good time to order your art prints now– ahead of the coming rush and frustrations.
Prints are all produced using high-quality materials– pigments, papers and framing materials. I invite you to visit often, as the year moves toward a new beginning in 2022. Buy a print every now and again, one that moves you. In our post-pandemic period, what better way to celebrate than…with a fall art print…perhaps even a gift to a friend or relative.
Two unusual and decidedly helpful features on my art site: The first– WALL Preview, a capability that visualizes your art selection in your specifications as seen in different settings; living room, bedroom, sitting room, conference room, these sorts of things, as referenced, above. Secondly, the Live Augmented Reality feature that allows you to see your chosen art work on YOUR wall…in your setting. Pretty exciting stuff, an under-appreciated feature.
“Business Advice” for day: We are right now in the midst of a rough three-day N’or Easter. We have seen high winds, much rain. Our roads are littered with limbs, power is out. Neighbors are calling one another to check in. “Are you alright?” “What do you need?” “Can I bring anything to you?” We attempt to look out for one another, both on-line, and in person. Perhaps as many issues of the day prompt so many sorts of anxieties among us all, isn’t it a good idea that we keep these sentiments in mind day-to-day as we go about often mundane tasks of going to work, completing the obligatory while planning for the short and long-term future…all at the same time? I think biblical verses (such as that offered in this blog-post) afford us a means of keeping positive, thinking about the necessary, looking outside ourselves even while we take care of the essential. We are rooted in timeless ideas that ground us, that founded us, that guide us, still, thank goodness. Doesn’t our personal life mirror our professional? Our professional life mirrors our personal? Both are in sync around important underlying ideas, one of which is, “God is a Spirit…worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
