Holiday Print DecorNew York State in August

Driving home from Ontario across the New York State Thruway can be, of all things, an exhilarating experience. Here is an example, “New York State in August.” We’re exhausted as the day winds down, having driven hours already, with some few left to go until we can find a dinner off the highway, somewhere. Here is a most modest example of how beautiful New York State can appear. The sky offers up an abundance of clouds, but thru the clouds sunlight beams down illuminating the rich, pastoral landscape that characterizes New York thru these miles. Off in the distance you see basking in sun a farm, the barn, the silo, the highlight of the roof as if winking at me under streaming clouds. See other samples in my Photo Prints Gallery.

Here is the same image as it appears in another context, a business setting, in a business environment.

Hung on a wall in perhaps…a small business context, “New York State in August.”

Question for you: Have you ever purchased a graphic print? Maybe right now, this fall. Instead of just another commercial gadget, you might consider a different kind of gift, an art print. Remember, too, the gift-giving season is here, now– time to plan and shop to avoid back-logs, shortages and supply-chain concerns. Slowdowns are expected. Product availability is not a certainty. Off-shore container ships are backed up for weeks. So order your art prints now— ahead of the coming rush and frustrations.

Prints are all produced using high-quality materials– pigments, papers and framing materials. I invite you to visit often, as the year moves toward a new beginning in 2022. Buy a print every now and again, one that moves you.  In our post-pandemic period, what better way to celebrate than…with a fall art print…perhaps even a gift to a friend or relative.

Two unusual and decidedly helpful features on my art site: The first– WALL Preview, a capability that visualizes your art selection in your specifications as seen in different settings; living room, bedroom, sitting room, conference room, these sorts of things, as referenced, above. Secondly, the Live Augmented Reality feature that allows you to see your chosen art work on YOUR wall…in your setting. Pretty exciting stuff, an under-appreciated feature.

“Business Advice” for day: Daylight Savings Time is long gone. Thanksgiving Day has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Cold temperatures have moved in, though the weather itself has not been too bad, good for stacking wood and cleaning chimneys, last minute tasks just before winter settles in. Isn’t this a good reminder for business life, too? One has to plan for the hard winter to come along. One has to prepare for the cold, wind and rain. And then, once the work has been done, you hope and pray that when spring arrives, you’ll be here, and OK, able to meet the new season with a smile and a determined effort to begin, again. I think so.

The holiday season is upon us, now. Shopping, cooking, planning, mailing, phoning. Not everyone loves it, but I do. Christmas music, especially. It settles me, grounds me, roots me in myth and tradition and hope for the future….as I have been fortunate to know all my life. So, yes, we stack wood every day now, late, but still determined to get it done before the first big storms of winter arrive. A great metaphor for business life, as I see it.

I urge you to make your art print purchases now…avoid headaches, back-logs, back-orders, and supply-chain frustrations, take a little time to get this done, today

I extend a special thanks for your interest and support of my work. Let’s carry on!
