Summer Print “York Art Gallery & Flag“
Summer winds down. A host of real concerns is on the minds of millions of us citizens of the USA, these days– among them, the events of 9.11.01, to be remembered in only a couple of days. Isn’t it right that we stop to remember, to do a little reflection, to attempt to make some kind of sense out of the horrors that unfolded on that fateful morning? Here is one fitting print to commemorate that hideous day, an affirmative image I snapped while walking past the art gallery in York, Maine, one fine morning. I am glad to offer this print in the here-and-now.

Below, from my original, “Who We Are Collection,” first conceived in the aftermath of that hateful day, designed to help us come together over time…here is the most popular of the series, the “Star Spangled Banner.” This print has gone through a couple of printings, and is now available in digital form, on-demand, customized to your framing specifications as noted on my website. The American flag depicted in this series is the flag that flew in front of this house at the time, very effectively photographed by a certain professional and friend of mine.

Question for you: Have you ever purchased a single graphic print? An art print? A photo print? Maybe right now, here as this fall is upon us – instead of just another commercial gadget, you might consider a different kind of gift, an art print. Or, how about a Honey-Bee print? Or, a golf print? A lighthouse print? Lift someone’s spirits! Giving art, to give a print can be a joyful experience…even in trying times… such as now. When I give a print, it is most assuredly a joyful experience! In these testy, tumultuous times, think about giving an original print, this summer.
Prints are all produced using high-quality materials– pigments, papers and framing materials. I invite you to visit often, as the new year moves thru the end of summer into the full Fall season. Buy a print every now and again, one that moves you. As the Pandemic seems for the moment to have wound down (we hear rumblings…) what better way to celebrate than with a summer art print, a lighthouse print, perhaps, or a poster with a patriotic theme, or a Honey-Bee print, or golf print…not bad gift choices for a friend or relative!
Customize your selection. Two unusual and decidedly helpful features on my art site: The first– WALL Preview, a capability that visualizes your art selection in your specifications as seen in different settings; living room, bedroom, sitting room, conference room, these sorts of things, as referenced, above. Secondly, the Live Augmented Reality feature that allows you to see your chosen art work on YOUR wall…in your setting. Pretty exciting stuff, an under-appreciated feature.
Check out several categories of original art and prints on my site; Instagram pix, photos, paintings, illustrations, limited editions, original painted works and Americana posters.
“Can I brand my Americana posters?” To this question, the answer is decidedly, yes. Yes, I can brand these posters for you – contact me with questions. In short, your logo can be added at a discrete size to the lower right corner of each poster. I will show you a proof prior to production. #brandednonprofits and #brandedposters are hashtags I will incorporate to try to identify this program, on-line. Good anytime of year.
Exhibit Page, New! Thank you for your steadfast, enthusiastic support of my new Exhibit page, designed to show off to best advantage how examples of my original images appear when matted, framed and hung on the wall! I have added new examples every now and again and will continue to expand this feature of my site
“Business Advice” for day: Frankly, I don’t like the idea of giving business advice, these days. Times are trying. So many businesses have failed, are failing, or are projected to struggle mightily in what promises to be a daunting winter season– if what is going on right now on the energy front in Europe is any indication. I like the idea of continuing to try to make work what you can, what we can make work in the best ways we know how. Apart from this, when I listen to ‘experts’ babble on our economy, I get fatigued and easily dismissive, since we are in a territory in the economic life of our country that is both daunting and ominous. I will continue to hope for the best, and plan for the worst, as our soldiers are trained to do.
Have some creative fun building your print collection this year. In what remains of Summer, try a new Americana Poster print purchase. And do see my promotional video on Youtube! In this season of chicks and chickens, take a look– if you like the idea of Chicken art.
Contact points are all viewable on Linktr.ee. A special thanks for your interest and support of my effort.
